Alright, im without question the most critical of polamalu...but im gonna give credit when credit is due and the dude played a good game...that pick was pretty critical and the one play where he flipped over the lineman had me saying....alright, putting the body on the line.....thats what i love. Im happy where his head is at right now, hes playing smart and not like a douchebag and hes seriously got his weight back up to where it needs to be for him not to get gobbled up by blockers.....after 2 solid games (against bad teams...but still) im starting to find that little place i once had for polamalu. by no means am i backpeddling here because ive said all along im not just a hater, i just call them like i see them and he showed me something today.
Very honorable of you K-Train...dude has been a beast these past two games...seems like he is back to his old form. If he played like he did last season these past two games, I would've been right there with you hating on the guy, but I wanted to give him the benfit of the doubt...hopefully he keeps this play up and doesn't return to last season. On a side note...Ryan Clark? WOW...dude is banging people...
Props K-Train and yes from what I've seen Troy is playing at his Pro Bowl level this year. Kellen Winslos Jr. said the Steelers D was the best in the league after last nights game.
Everytime I see the guy play, he has a great game. However, not being a Pitt fan, I don't see the amount of games you guys do. I didn't realize he was that inconsistent.
Just last 2 years because of injuries and such, outside of that hes played like a pro bowl safety and hopefully hes back
Not so much inconsistent as much as having about a year and a half of very average play. More so because of the injuries and as K-Train would put it, training like an ice skater.
I've been a Troy fan since he came in the league because he's been a game changer. Not as big as LT (the original) but teams always had to game plan around where Polamalu was on the field. He's had some injuries and I agree with K-Train that he's been riding on his reputation more so but I always love seeing him on top of his game. When he is....he's one of the best.
