    Actually they said at the end of the game yesterday...he was just 1 yard shy of tying the record, 2 of breaking it....but I don't blame him, would've been sweet for him to break Sharpe's record against the Broncos.

    Yeah it would have and they would have done it had LJ not busted the big run for a TD.

    Well I should say "I hope they would have done it" but Herm really doesn't know what is going on at any particular time during most games, so he probably had no idea.

    I wouldn't have done it.. You don't risk a game for a record that doesn't have to be broken today (sunday).

    He did reiterate that he is happy none the less.... He will get it, it just would have been nice against the broncos at arrowhead! Shut mushmouth up!

    I don't think a short pass to 88 would have been risky at all. He's got great hands and is pretty tough. Let him catch the ball and break the record. But Herm was probably trying to read the playbook upside down again.
