See...I think the likes of Monte Kiffin and Jimmy Johnson would never get offered a head coaching job because they are now too old.....just like Tom Moore of the Colts.

My vote? Jim Schwartz, Titans defensive coordinator. The man has helped build a defense that is downright scary at times. They are always going to test you physically.

I googled nfl coordinators to get a list and noticed this article from 2001 ranking the coaches. The list made me lauugh, look who's ranked 30th

It's not that he won't take a coordinator position, it's that he's not allowed to per NFL rules. As the Assistant HC, it would technically be a demotion for him to take a coordinator position while he is under contract, which is against the rules. It's HC or nothing for him, at least until he is no longer employed as an assistant HC.
And I'm not sure why the rest of the league and fans are so enamored with Singletary as an option for a Head Coach, other than on name recognition alone. He's not a good personnell guy, he's a WEAK x's and o's guy at best, I am of the opinion that he is riding his HOF career as a player and reputation gained through that to an HC position. Do not expect success.

I live in Rochester, and I was hoping Washington hired Williams. The guy is a terrible HC. Outstanding coodinator, no doubt, maybe the best in the league, but terrible HC

If Im the Eagles or Buc's, Id be comfortable promoting them. But other than that, you are right
