Jason La Canfora of NFLN reports via Twitter that, "KC and Jacksonville talking trade, but unable to agree on value of QB Tyler Thigpen, sources said. Chiefs want more than a 5th rounder." Source: Jason La Canfora, Twitter
This is just a matter of compensation according to a radio report I heard. Jags are offering a 5th rounder, Chiefs want something higher like a 3rd rounder. My guess is this gets done in the middle and he'll go for a 4th rounder.
Garrard had a completely decimated Oline last year. I expect a good year from him, and I also think Torry Holt has a good year with a change of scenery. That being said Thigpen would be a really good insurance policy for the Jags to have.
If Jaguars can get him for a 4th rounder, that won't be bad at all. He will automatically be the #2 behind Garrard.
Would be a nice back-up option to Garrard. I'm not totally sold on Garrard. Granted he had some O-Line issues last season, but I feel like two years ago he played above himself...I think he's somewhere in between...
I'm meh about it...if we could turn that into a valuable draft pick it's better than him languishing on the bench as the emergency QB.
