The Jacksonville Jaguars are attempting to fill out their offensive coaching staff after filling in some pieces on the defensive side of the staff. A source close to the team tells SBNation.com that the Jaguars will interview former Jaguars wide receiver and Washington Redskins wide receivers coach Keenan McCardell on Monday. McCardell got his first shot at coaching wide receivers in the 2010 East West Shrine Game, McCardell was hired by the Washington Redskins as their wide receivers coach. McCardell spent two seasons as the Redskins wide receivers coach before being released at the end of the 2011 NFL season. As a player, McCardell spent six seasons with the Jaguars forming one of the premier wide receiver tandems in the NFL, pairing with Jimmy Smith to be "Thunder and Lightning". Source: SBNation.com
McCardell would be a good person to have around that team just to give that team the make over they are looking for, whether it be as a coach or in another position, he, Tony Boselli, Fred Taylor...all good people to have "hanging around" this franchise. edit: Jimmy Smith...NOT a good person to have around...lol.
I would love for the Giants to have guys like Boselli and Taylor on staff. McCardell was with the Giants a few years back...........
