We pointed out last week that San Diego Chargers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt would be a prime candidate to take over in Detroit if the Lions ousted Jim Schwartz. Citing people who have received calls from the Lions, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports the organization has been calling around, cfreaking Whisenhunt's references. Having watched Whiz here in AZ for 5 years he's a no BS guy that won't take crap from players or staff. If this does happen my only hope is that player personnel decisions are left to a GM with a good football mind. Too much power for Whiz is not a good thing.
