Lions fire head coach Jim Schwartz

    The Detroit Lions have decided to fire Jim Schwartz, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Schwartz's overall record with the Lions is 29-52 following his fourth losing season in five years in Detroit.

    4th easiest schedule in the NFL and can't win the North with Rodgers and Cutler on the shelf. Just an awful HC.

    The Lions controlled their own destiny in week 13 after destroying the Packers in thanksgiving. By week 16 they were eliminated. Epic collapse.

    Mayhew & Schwartz had them living up to Detroit standards...bankrupt in discipline/direction.

    Schwartz deserved this & Mayhew should feel lucky to have survived this...
