Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is practicing again in a limited role. Stafford, who hasn't played since injuring his throwing shoulder in the season opener against Chicago, was upgraded to questionable on the team's injury report Friday. Coach Jim Schwartz hasn't announced a starter for Sunday's game in New Jersey against the New York Giants, but Schwartz was cautious when asked if Stafford might be activated this weekend. "We're probably ahead of ourselves there, just talking about it, but we'll see Sunday,'' Schwartz said. "If he is able to get back, it has shown that he's right on track and he's healthy enough to be able to be in a game, but let's wait until Sunday before we start ... let's not get ahead of ourselves.'' Shaun Hill has started all four games at quarterback since Stafford's injury and led the Lions (1-4) to a win last weekend over the St. Louis Rams. Stafford, the No. 1 pick in the 2009 draft, had been throwing a bit before Friday.

I'd give him an extra week before throwing him back in. Last thing they need is to have his shoulder go out again.
