He should but he wont. The NBA is more lenient than the NFL. Also there is no way to prove it was intentional, even though I think it was.
This. What did you expect? Isn't this the same guy who tried to choke out his coach back in the day? IMHO, he's a thug. Pure and simple.
This is about right considering it's going into the playoffs. If it was mid-season or something it would have been about 15 games.
A couple of days ago I heard somebody say Metta World Peace and I could not think of his real name. It was one of those moments where you are absolutely 100% sure that you know something but you can't get the information out of your brain for whatever reason. Alzheimers or some crap. Anyway, I didn't know what they were talking about at the time and kind of forgot about it. But today on the radio I heard "Metta World Peace suspended for 7 games for a flagrant elbow" and instantly the name Ron Artest came flooding back. Couldn't remember his name for crap until it was coupled with the word suspension. Then it was instantaneous. Weird how the mind works. Also means the suspension was probably too low.
Stern has now officially set the benchmark for intentionally clocking someone resulting in concussion.
i think it was probably a little lower on the # of games because most of them will be playoff games. if this had been in the middle of the season, it may have been 10 games.
