Weird thing about the Dez throw though... Mangina was on ESPN talking about it, and said Tillman had his hips open like he was ready to keep running down the field (ie wasn't going to bite on the hitch), and yet he was able to shift and run back a little and pick off the pass? To me, that looked like Peanut had the play read from the snap. There's no way a corner could stop momentum going forward and come back to the ball in those two seconds unless he was predicting the throw on the hitch. There was one safety deep and he was more on the opposite side of the field. If Romo had pumped, Tillman would have bit like he did and Dez might have had a TD down the sideline. It was definitely on Dez for not doing what his QB told him to do, but maybe Dez thought he'd have open pastures if Romo tossed it up. That throw and the Ogletree INT weren't on Romo, but the other three were. I mean crap, if we really wanted to dissect every interception thrown in the NFL we could come up with excuses for half of them.
Yea, I can see the logic in that but hot reads are 'duress' plays meant to cut short routes for a dump off. Conte was in Romo's face damn quick & Bryant should have seen that blitz coming from the snap IMO. Peanut read it like the fans did. Bryant didn't cuz he never looked back. Huge difference when it comes to a QB/WR reacting/communicating on a hot read. :icon_thumright: The only reason for dissecting those INTs were in the response to the easy finger pointing from some just using the #5, media & MBs alike. I've got him down for 2 bonehead plays which is more than enough even tho I think 1 is from a QB who has to 'pad' his INT totals later in games when the D is back on the heels salivating on the Os need to force things. I think the real tale on Romo & Cutler is the same thing...great talent but immaturity at times in games by trying to do too much. Things I adjust with upgrades around them (both teams OL woes, as example) till they mature or to minimize their mistakes if they never do. Like the Romo/Eli thread. Some have a short memory when it comes to Eli. He had the same bonehead tendencies mingled with great plays till one day it seemed to click. Now he's over the hump generally considered 'elite'. People should blame & point out the Romo /Cutler mistakes but realize they both have extraordinary talent & just dumping it at their feet hides the other team issues at hand. Both teams would suffer if either were replaced. There's still adjustments, personnel/bad habits. that need addressing. Yesterday's game was nowhere near a Romo loss. It was a whole team loss.
Romo was bad, but the funny thing is...if you are a Cowboys fan, he's not you main worry. Dez Bryant. Cowboys Defense. The Rob Ryan D was just waaaay over matched.
romo is taking a beating on sports radio today its got to be more than just his fault the whole some are saying theres some trust issues going on in the locker room
So now you know what it's like to be a Cardinals fan over the years. Just enjoy the good games, get pissed for a couple of hours after an embarrassing loss then forget it.
i used to get super angry, break crap, cuss people out, get into physical alterations over it. one day i came to my senses, realized its entertainment, and dont get too upset now.
