The New York Giants announced Tuesday that they have hired Ben McAdoo as their new offensive coordinator. McAdoo, 36, had been the quarterbacks coach for the Green Bay Packers for the past two seasons. Prior to that, he spent six years as the Packers' tight ends coach. He's also worked on the staffs of the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints, as well as for Stanford, Akron, Pittsburgh and Michigan State in the college ranks. This will be his first offensive coordinator job. McAdoo signed a two-year contract with the Giants, according to a source. Coach Tom Coughlin's contract only runs one more year. The Giants interviewed McAdoo on Monday for the job vacated by the retirement of longtime offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride. McAdoo was the fourth candidate to interview for the job, joining former Giants assistant Mike Sullivan, former Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains and former Houston Texans quarterbacks coach and UCLA coach Karl Dorrell.
