NFL 30 to Watch: LenDale White, Running Back, Tennessee Titans

Remember how red flags started popping up when LenDale White rolled into his college Pro Day looking like Kel Mitchell? So began his plummet down NFL draft boards. And when draft day arrived, White lasted until the 45th pick, thanks to the Tennessee Titans, who were trying to out-dumb their pick from the previous year.

Well, this April, Tennessee was so impressed with White's rookie season that they gambled another second-round pick on a running back -- this time University of Arizona's Chris Henry.

The Titans currently have five running backs on the roster. In addition to White and Henry, there's Chris Brown, Quinton Ganther and Dontrell Moore. Impressive, I know. Brown was re-signed and is literally on his last leg. Ganther was the team's 2006 seventh-round pick and managed a whopping zero carries last season. Moore was signed in February after the Jets released him last June.

Tennessee lost 1,200-yard rushing leader Travis Henry to Denver this off-season, and White should be the guy -- assuming he's able to squeeze out of his house. But here's the thing: White has already missed minicamp (at least he had an excuse, right?) and only managed 61 carries for 244 yards as a rookie (good for third on the team and only 308 yards behind Vince Young!).
