Plus, I don't know why an Eagles fan would be screaming for Dawkins, when he left the eagles happily. so.

Yea his coverage skills are bad now were bad even when he was here. Its expected at his age. Brian dawkins is a hell of a player so was sean taylor its sad that he had to pass away. I dont think you can compare there careers though because sean was so young no one knows what could have been its sad.

Brian dawkins still loves philadelphia. Buisness is buisness the eagles could not offer the kind of contrat the broncos did. Or just dident want to for a player of his age which i dont blame them. I remember him in a confrence call right after it happened and he couldent finish cause he started crying.

without reading pages two and three, let's remember that this is the ALL-DECADE team. 2000-2009. Sean Taylor played 4 of those years. Brian Dawkins played 10. You just can't know how good Taylor would have been, and you can't say he is better than Dawkins in those years. Sorry, you just can't. Dawkins is a future hall-of-famer. So is Ed Reed. Which brings me to my next point: pretty good list but Reed should have been ahead of Dawkins. Now, I know we could have this debate all day long, and it's extremely close, but if you have to choose one, I go with Reed because of his ballhawk abilities and interceptions, and let's not forget he also knows how to put a sick hit on someone. (I realize Reed only entered the league in '02 but that speaks volumes about his play). Priest Holmes first team? No. As good as he was, ALL-DECADE. How about Jamal Lewis? Much better decade than Priest imo. Or Edgerrin James? Or even Jerome Bettis perhaps? Also, I think Harrison has to make it in there somewhere in the first team, even though he's out of the league and his last good year was '07. Also, Briggs shouldn't come above Urlacher. ALL-DECADE, remember. Manning above Brady only because of the one year difference and ACL MCL and PCL. Also, Strahan I think gets in first team. Is Bruschi on the second team? b/c he should be. Wait a second, where the hell is Darren Sharper? Is he even on the second team? I take it back: Sharper > Reed = Dawkins > Polamalu. Oh, I don't know. Who the hell even cares, anyway? lol

Yea RF52, I see your points, 4 years and he still makes the team over Dawkins. Glad you finally said something I approve of.

all decade.. his 4 years count as part of that decade, didn't they? then yes, sean taylor counts, and he can very well be included in this list.

and so can chris johnson? it's about the numbers they put up in all 10 years. Dawkins obviously wins in at least 6 of them. you techincally could do an all-decade team every year (1993-2003 or whatever you want).

    Oh wait, you were serious?

Give me a break, dude. They had almost identical careers their first four years. Look it up. Dawkins has had a Canton career and has been consistent over just about the whole damn thing. Not saying Taylor couldn't have done it as well but you never know.

To say 'it's not even close' makes you look like an idiot.

I retracted that statement in another part of the thread, know what you're talking about before you speak. The same lesson you're trying to teach me should be acquired by you as well.

I know how good Taylor was. I saw the dude twice a year. You don't have to tell me he was a baller.

But I also know when to not call a guy who played the game for four years 'better, and it isn't even close' to a guy who has put together almost a decade and a half of exceptional seasons. Both were feared on the field, both were leaders of their defense, and in his prime people talked about Dawk the exact same way people are talking about Taylor in this thread.
