The NFL suspended Panthers DB Dante Wesley for one game without pay because of a flagrant violation of player safety rules during Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. Wesley left his feet, launched himself and made shoulder and forearm contact with the neck and head area of Bucs PR Clifton Smith, who hadn't caught or touched the ball. Wesley was ejected from the game after the hit. Wesley will miss the Panthers' Oct. 25 game against the Bills because of the suspension. Source: NFL.com
thats bullcrap........ when I saw that I told my wife "If I was even on the panthers team and saw that I would have beat the crap out of that guy". nothing can justify that, he should be penalized at least half the games left to play int he regular season
This dude put the biggest bulls-eye on his head he possibly could. I would've figured 2-4 games though.
Personally I think Dante saw a very dangerous poisonous spider on the Tampa dude's helmet and he was just trying to smash it and saved his life in the process. We should be giving him a medal, not a suspension. :icon_confused:
Can I be the crazy guy? Seriously though just a game is complete bullcrap. If Adam Jones can get suspended for a season for being at a night club this should net at least a three game suspension at the minimum. And I think Jones deserved what he got.
I have an idea just give the guy he hit one free hit.....just hit him in the crotch with a bat....problem solved I think he would think twice next time he had the urge to cheap shot
See this is why we need more women to talk football. I don't know of any guy that will say something about taking a shot in the marbles.
