Raiders at 24. Not bad. I guess. I just wonder what would have happened if the refs made the right call in 2001.
Unless the Colts win another SB, I agreed with the list. However, if the Colts do win, to me, that puts them ahead of Pittsburgh because of all the Colt's regular season accomplishments. Probably will be pretty difficult for them to do that this year with all the changes, but you never know. Look what happened at Tampa Bay when Tony D left there. :) (AND I'm still a little miffed at the Pats for that spying thing. But I am trying to let it go. :icon_twisted:)
Guess that depends where you want to put the value. You can have ten 18-1 seasons and the team of the decade crown and I'll take 1 SB and 9 double digit loss seasons.
Right, but if your talking about team of the decade i would rank the team with the most consistent success higher. The eagles had one bad season since 2000. Since 2000 the ravens have had seasons of 7-9 6-10 5-11 the eagles have only had one year below 500. Also you have to put in all the playoff wins. The bucs won a superbowl but there not high on the list.
I do....obviously...... The Ravens have the championship but they also have the dominant defense of the era and have managed to stay consistent in it's success despite several changes to coaches and personnel. Think back on the Ravens in future years about this decade and defenses instantly jumps into your mind. The fact that defense also has won a championship makes them a top 5 franchises IMO. I haven't done it just on Super Bowls because otherwise the Buc's would be higher.
I agree on the defense when i think of dominant defenses i think of the ravens but overall success the eagles have them beat. The defense has been consistent but the team definitely hasent.
There's more to a power ranking than just number of wins and titles. The Ravens have being less consistent than the Eagles, no doubt, but again, they have something which is a definition of the decade and that is why I ranked them higher.
I see where your coming from just think that it should be a separate category. They are the best defense of this decade but not as good of a overall team. When i think of teams of the decade i think of overall offense defense and how much success they have had.
Your sleeping on Balt. They only have 1 less 10 win season than you guys and they have 7 playoff victories to your 10. That along with Chrisbobs point about their D as a definer of the decade, and the ring surely closes any gap that is between the two teams. The SB isn't everything (well actually it is, but not here), but if 2 teams are even close then the one with a ring gets the nod as far as I'm concerned.
