Just to throw it out there, I have many friends that lost friends and family in the attack and myself know of someone within our family that perished on Flight 11. What the NFL SHOULD have done is allowed players to wear Red, White and Blue cleats, wrist bands and gloves and raised some money for the families that did lose people. Many of those friends lost the "money makers" in the family and others suffered terrible mental anguish. The NFL has proven this off season that they care nothing about the fans and all they care about is themselves. This would mean A LOT to fans and the families of those who lost people in that horrific attack. It's a small thing that matters. Just a reminder that they're still thinking about you. It's like the Mets not being allowed to wear NYPD and FDNY hats on Sunday. It's about the almighty dollar.

How would letting them wear colored cleats raise money for anyone?

this really makes no sense to me. Why would they fine him. He is just honoring those we lost on 9\11\01

Auction. Signed, game worn cleats. Plus, the fines the players pay go to charity anyway...win, win, win...lol.

    LANCE BRIGGS:

“For the anniversary of 9/11 game why is it if I wear shoes and gloves that are the colors of our nations flag..I will be fined by the league, Shaking my head . . . looks like I’m getting fined this week.â€￾

“By far the best fine I will ever have to pay.â€￾

just want to offer an apology for the actions of a fellow eagles fan that regardless of his claims of being an educated, smart (cause he doesnt believe in god) person has done nothing but show a disgusting display of ignorance from day 1.

not to worry though, in 5years he will be divorced, lonely, broke and working to pay for his ex-wife to keep on living the good life.
