Packers coach Mike McCarthy said he is hoping tackle Chad Clifton, who has missed two months with hamstring and back injuries, will be able to play in the regular-season finale against the Detroit Lions Sunday. McCarthy said the goal is for Clifton to go through practice this week and play in the regular-season finale. McCarthy said he would like Clifton to get some game action partly so his veteran left tackle can feel comfortable heading into the playoffs. Marshall Newhouse has filled in for Clifton since he went down in the Atlanta game in October. Source: Green Bay Press-Gazette
