I also agree with that call. It was the right thing to do. I think I saw him quickly shake hands with Caldwell. But it was very speedy.
The one thing most people don't bring up is that if Faulk doesn't bobble the ball, the Patriots have the first down and win the game. That's not Belichcik's fault. I think it was a risky call, I think there was a little arrogance involved, but for argument sake, the call was good. The execution up until the actual catching the ball part was poor. That lies on Faulk. The part that I will fault Belichick is using the timeout up until that point. BB is usually very good at managing that aspect of the game and because he used those timeouts, wasn't able to challenge...not that it would've been overturned, but you never know...
BB threw the game. I've been watching football for 30-35 years. With a 6 point lead you always punt when at your own 30yd line no excuses. It doesn't happen often but it did sunday night. I wonder what was in it for BB? :icon_sad:
