Exactly. Thats why he is all over guys like Parcells and anything NE. Common fans know those guys. As a knowlegable fan, it will irritate you a bit to read how great Tom Brady is at the most random times, but his articles are for entertainment and he has a knack for comming up with interesting concepts.

As a "common fan" writer however he doesnt touch Bill Simmons (He of the Reggie Cleveland All Stars, and the Tyson Zone) but Simmons may be the greatest person to ever write anything down.

thats what i mean, im a serious fan but i wasnt when bruce smith was playing....whether i hate them or not i recognize talent. i just turned 20 the other day, im not THAT young but i vaguely remember anything before 2000 and even then i was just a little kid

i think i could put together a great all decade team, whether you agree or not i dont care....just like peter king doesnt, hes trying to sell issues, which i respect, but is also a reason why im not a subscriber to SI

I was just rippin on you for being a youngun. But as a 3-4 fan you did miss the joy of watching Smith play. Imagine a 13-15 sack a year guy (got 19 once) at the 5 technique.......unreal. Why the guy is never in the convo with White, Taylor, and Jones is besides me. Now he was a douchebag, and not a great team guy, but Taylor was a freaking crackhead for gods sake

His NBA draft blogs are epic

He was calling Stephan A Smith "The Notorious S.A.S." one year

see douche bags are my favorite....pacman jones is an all time favorite of mine and i show no shame in saying that. pacman, moss, vick....all personal favs of mine. a 5 technique getting those numbers is unreal, i have no shame in being what? 8 or 9 years younger than you? im well aware of bruce smiths existence, thats what separates me from baskett, sportsguy, theeraser, ravensfan52....im not that much older than them but i know my crap and know the history of football....im comfortable with my list as far as falling in my lifetime of watching football. i hate 43....its mediocre to me so i would never encourage anything else besides a 34 defense so obviously i am all about 34 linemen, 34 LBs, 34 coaches....everything

As far as your line for who you've seen You will get no arguement from me

From who Ive seen, mine would go

Smith, Big Ted Washington (nearly 400 LBS of pure hussle), and Im gonna go with Seymore. Aaron Smith and Seymore isnt a slam dunk anymore. Seymore had the "champion" thing on Smith, but Smith is catching up. Pure 3-4, Smith is better, but Seymore gives you versatility. And he can also rush the passer as a DE in a 4 man line (Im choosing to factor in sub package possibilities)

i mean i havent exactly seen ted washington in his prime do idk

seymour has a pass rushing edge on smith, but smith is a run stuffing phenom....second to no one in the position. pure power, and tackle or guard would agree....the steelers have lost 5 straight because of his absence imo, hes a subtle difference maker

Think about it this way. If Cody surpass's his potential in the NFL he still wont be quite as much the perfect NT as Big Ted. I wanna say he played at 380.....at an almost healthy 380, and hustled his butt off

i have a man crush on cody, but not as a superstar....hes kind of soft, hes kind of slow, his conditioning sucks, hes kind of weak...but his talent is there. hampton is top 5 strongest men in the nfl, hes explosive off the snap, hes 350 pounds....hes everything cody needs to be to be great, but i would take a chance on the guy based on potential and heart alone. for being so hugem hes weak, hell i can almsot throw up as much as him on the bench, but that doesnt mean he cant get stronger

I want Cody in Dallas. He would never have to be more than a 2 down player here. Cody would allow us to properly use Ratliff as a 3-4 version of Justin Tuck. Line him up over the weak link

thats how i look at cody...he could be the kind of player that would make evander hood useful. hood is a pass rusher, which is great on 3rd down but on downs 1 and 2 i think cody would allow hood to do something, even though hood is pure trash it would make him look like less of a wasted pick that i know he was
