Phils only won one of four in Arizona, including getting blown out the past two days. Both pithcing and hitting sucked. They finish the tough west coast trip at 4-6. Really disappointing since they were 4-3 at one point. 7.5 games up in the division. Tied with Dodgers for best record in NL. .5 game behind Orioles and Yankees for best record in baseball. Off day today and then 2 games at home against the Marlins.
So much for the Marlins being the cure for their ills. Shutout 5-0 at home. Only the White Sox have been worse since the Allstar break. It’s inexplicable how these team has fallen apart in every phase.
Ugly loss by the Phils yesterday, but they took 3 of 4 from the Nats. A day off today and then a 3 game series in Atlanta. They can put he division pretty much out of reach or allow the Braves to crawl back in.
The Phils took 2 of 3 from the Royals after losing 2 of 3 to the Braves. The division lead is 6 games, but they are only 1 game ahead of the Brewers for the 2nd seed in the NL. It would suck if they don't end up with a first round bye. They don't really deserve it though. They start a 3 game series against the Astros tonight, which is great timing because my brother is an Astros fan and we are on vacation together in Myrtle Beach. Winning this series is a must!

Phils took 3 of 4 against the Braves. They now have a 7 game lead over Atlanta, pretty much locking up the division. They really seem to have bounced back from that awful 2 months. Hopefully they can get really hot when the playoffs arrive.
Phils sweep the 2 games series in Toronto. They have won 4 series in a row. Unfortunately, they are not that healthy. Both Bohm & Harper are banged up and not playing. Neither is on the IL yet though. We are now a half game behind the Dodgers for best record in baseball. 4 game series against the Marlins starts tonight. I hate playing them. We never seem to do well in FL.
Phils won the first two games in Miami and then got clobbered the last 2. A disappointing split after winning the first two games. The Phils don't have a 5th starter. All experiments have failed. Signing Taijuan Walker was such a huge mistake. 3 game series against the Rays starts tonight.
The Phillies swept the Rays. They now have a one game lead over the Dodgers for the best record in baseball. Unfortunately, the injuries continue to pile up. Schwarber, Realmuto, and Bohm are all out. Luckily, it does not appear that any of the injuries are serious. Next up a three game series against the Mets who recently surpassed the Braves for second place in the NL East. With an eight game lead in the division, the Phils can basically wrap up the division with 2 out of 3.

After losing 2 of 3 to the Brewers, the Phils lost the first game of a 4 game series against the Mets. Phils have fallen back into a tie with the Dodgers for the best record in baseball. Phils own the tiebreaker but the Dodgers remaining schedule is much easier. If the Phils had a decent 5th starter they would probably have about a 5 game lead over them. Taiquan Walker's ERA now stands at 6.91 after the Mets wrecked him last night. It sucks that he still will pitch one more time.
Horrible series by the Phils in losing 3 of 4 to the Mets. This offense is so inconsistent. They still haven't wrapped up the division and now trail the Dodgers by one game for best record.
Phillies beat the Cubs last night to win their first division title in 13 years. I can't believe it's been that long. They are still a half game behind the Dodgers for best record. Taijuan Walker makes his last start of the season tonight (hopefully), so I expect the Cubs to score double digits.

The Phillies will play the Mets in a best of 5 starting tomorrow. Despite how long they have been rivals, this will be the first time that they have played each other in the playoffs. I hate the Mets and I live in Mets' territory so I love that they play each other. It will really suck if we lose, which there is a good chance of. The Mets have been the best team in baseball during the 2nd half of the season and the Phils played .500 ball. All of that means nothing now. Go Phils!!!
I'm not surprised by the Phils' bats not showing up yesterday. Hoffman and Strahm getting rocked was a true shocker. It really sucks that they wasted such a gem by Wheeler. Things are not going to be easy now. A loss today and it's pretty much over.
