Phillies Reach Deal With OF Raul Ibanez?

the more i think about this signing the less i take issue with it. i worry more about ibenez' defensive woes than anything but considering he'll have less ground to cover at CBP and the majority of the NL parks i think he could do ok.

i think most would've liked to have seen the phillies put more of an effort into getting more pitching. a guy like lowe on this staff would be nasty and having blanton and moyer at the end of the rotation wouldn't have been a bad thing.
