Despite a previous TMZ report, Maurice Jones-Drew has not been charged with battery in an incident that took place over the Memorial Day weekend and involved the Jaguars running back allegedly punching a security guard.
Jones-Drew's agent, Adisa Bakari, told the Florida Time-Union's Ryan O'Halloran that "Maurice was not involved in any verbal or physical altercation whatsoever and we are confident that in due time the facts will demonstrate as much."

A source told O'Halloran earlier Tuesday that MJD is "not getting arrested."

Bakari also spoke with NFL.com's Ian Rapoport:

"We have confirmed with the St. Augustine Police Department that no charges have been filed against Maurice and that the matter is under investigation," MJD's agent told Rapoport. "While Maurice was present when the events in question began, he quickly departed the premises immediately thereafter. Maurice was not involved in any physical altercation, whatsoever."

And the St. Augustine (Fla.) Police Department issued the following statement (via Yahoo.com's Shutdown Corner):

"The St. Augustine Police Department has taken a notarized statement of misdemeanor battery against Jacksonville Jaguar player Maurice Jones-Drew that stemmed from an altercation at the Conch House on Sunday, May 26, 2013. Jones-Drew has not been charged with any crime and maintains his innocence. He is cooperating fully with our investigation. This matter is an ongoing investigation at this time. As soon as we complete our investigation we will send out a release with our findings or conclusion."
