I really don't know why you are directing all of your anger at Vince Young. In the grand scheme of things, he hasn't done anything to put this team at 1-4.

Team needs to wise up and scrap the wide 9. It's freaking grand that we can make the quarterback uncomfortable, but that doesn't mean crap when we have weak butt linebackers that can't plug the holes.

And well... someone on the defensive coaching staff needs to show these mother heckers how to tackle. Jarrad Page was absolutely freaking DREADFUL on Sunday. And the linebackers weren't much better.

that's the thinking the front office displays which is so dead wrong.

i again put out there that 11 head coaches have won the super bowl during reid's tenure here. many of them new coaches within the first couple of years.

was sean payton an elite HC prior to new orleans ? gruden ? tomlin ? mccarthy ? even coughlin was known but elite ? no.

who the hell knew reid outside of green bay when he got hired ?

there are better coaches out there. team's like indy and tampa finally came to grips with this very thing and made a change.

reid has been here long enough. its time for change if the eagles do not win the super bowl.

edit - FYI per sal pal rob ryan was on the short list to be offered the DC job here. reid opted for the "elite" canidate - juan castillo.

Not what I read. I heard that Ryan already had a verbal handshake with Jerrah before Reid called him and didn't want to back out on that.

    conflicting reports.

bottom line is the choice reid made is beyond asinine. if ryan is still available you get him. call pap ryan if need be- who BTW is beyond pissed apparently that rob is in dallas.

Oh yeah. Trust me. I agree with that entirely. He should have done whatever was necessary to get Ryan or a real DC on board. No question.

But I can't fault him too much as far as Ryan goes if Ryan told him it just wasn't an option.

There is NO WAY IN HELL that Andy thought Castillo was the "elite" candidate. The man hadn't touched a defense since his college days when he was a LB coach. Kind of ironic that the LB's are pretty much the worst part of this team at the moment. But either way. Castillo will be the offensive line coach again next year and Andy will be the head coach.
