Raiders DE Richard Seymour, who is an impending free agent, said during a radio interview that he would like to re-sign with the Raiders during the offseason. "I would love to re-sign out in Oakland. When you can be the foundation piece and help turn the organization around, that's a challenge for me. That's something where I'm willing to take on that responsibility and challenge of helping bring in some good guys and make a difference. I really enjoy putting on the silver and black," Seymour said.

It won't matter how good he plays. Al will destroy the team.

Who will they draft this year? Dez Bryant?

He's not going to get a long term deal either, they will probably slap him with the franchise tag again...lol

I think that the Raiders can and will build a solid foundation - even with Al. He is looking to get a GM in there and it looks as if Cable will stay.

I think you are onto something that we all missed. Perhaps Seymour is smarter than any of us here. He knows how stupid Al is and knows if he shows that he's dedicated to this organization that Al will probably over pay for him like he did with so many other players who didn't even deserve it. Seymour's probably looking to get over paid. Smart dude actually.

Seymour know what he's doing. Players in the good graces of AD can make bank. By the same token, with AD doing anything other than signing checks the Raiders are screwed. With the exception of the hiccups against Washington and Cleveland they played the second half of the season really pretty well. The Raiders aren't too far off. Then there's Al..............

No one else wants him? I think any team in the league, especially the 34 teams, would DEFINITELY want him. Seymours still a big, dominant DE that is going to be able to produce in pretty much whatever scheme you put him in, but he's especially rare and valuable as a 34 DE that actually gets sacks and plays very well against the run. I'd love to keep him around, but to be honest, unless he's just looking for a big payday from Al, I don't see why he would actually want to stay. This team isn't going to do anything before he retires.

There is only three legitimate choices for their 1st round pick:

Bruce Campbell, OT, Maryland (could run a 4.9 at about 320 pounds)

Everson Griffen, DE, USC (4.65 at 275ish)

    Taylor Mays, S, USC (6'3", 235lbs, 4.4)

Not for their size. But there's some Michael Mitchell-esque crackers coming up. Marvin Austin (300lb DT with a 4.8). I have a 5th round on him (weak upper body, no production) but i bet he does in the 2nd to the Raiders. You watch.
