I'm disappointed we lost but proud of how we played, Congrats Pats fans - that was a really good game.
Baltimore Ravens criticize referees for perceived slights by referees vs. Patriots - ESPN Boston I thought the same thing - particularly the spot on the fake FG att, we all saw it.
this was suppossed to be a close game and it turned out that way. these teams are pretty evenly matched.
I'm not trying to make excuses here - the Patriots won the game. But the officials helped them. Two BS roughing the passer penalties - it's so obvious how much they favor Brady and the Pats. Also, Mark Clayton - FU. Flacco struggled against a very good defense. Ray Rice was amazing. The Pats won the special teams battle. Our pass defense needs to change, or things will get really bad. The spot on that fake FG - crazy. You can't point to one thing and say 'we would have won if they had gotten the call right' - only with Clayton's drop can you say that (about Clayton). I was proud of the way our team fought back - Derrick Mason, Ray Rice, JARRETT JOHNSON, how about Dwan Edwards hustling on that fumble recovery? It was nice to put Brady on his butt a few times - but we didn't get to him enough. And we got burned by their receivers. We have to run it more offensively. We can complain all we want about the BS officiating - and rightfully so - but there's gonna be a lot of film watching this week and we have to notice and correct the mistakes we made on all 3 sides of the ball. I will NOT congratulate Pats fans because I HATE the stinkin' Patriots and Baby and Belicheat. We have to look forward to Cincinnati. That's all I got for this one.
It was a tough loss with a lot to be said in a number of areas - despite everything that went on we were still in a position to win it at the end and really thats all we can ask for.... FREAK!!!
Actually the blind side hit on Brady causing a fumble for a TD killed us. If you take that play away, the game wouldn't have ended up getting down to them having a chance. Light is killing us on missing blocks. Good game overall, but we aren't near the team we will become. The last 1/2 of the season we should be playing at the level we need to be at.
Yeah we could go that route but there were many places before that where we could have executed better - its not all Mark's fault, it was a team loss... with help from the officials.
