We will see when the season starts he still had over 3000 yards this year and he was hurt. He will have a big season this year and prove hes the best QB in the east again.
well that will only be true if you can win a playoff game, that truely defines greatness. you begged for kolb last year....BEGGED. what made you hop back on mcnabbs rod?
I was mad until the last 3 games of the year when he started playing like him old self. When he played injured he was terrible and hurting the team.
I'd take Roethlisberger...:icon_lol: I'd like to see Manning play consistently well again and then I could change my opinion on them both. He has been very inconsistent in the past and maybe he's popped over that hurdle...but I'd like to see it first. Romo can't be blamed for the Cowboys losing all the time.
when he bombs on the jets and lions you say hes the best ever but then you want him traded and you want kolb in the next week. lol pick a side i dont think so man, it was a stretch for them to make it last year and eli played terrible and probably will at some point next year. you lost some key players and now burress and shockey are being rods...when you win a superbowl everyone thinks they are the best player
I think they make the playoffs, but I wouldn't be surprised if they missed them...I wouldn't be surprised if they wound up third in the division.
Eli has had the better career, because he has the ring, but I don't think that makes him a better quarterback. Is Eli better than Marino? I know Romo is nowhere near that level, but I think it proves that not winning a Super Bowl doesn't mean you are worse than every QB out there who has. It's not always right to compare players by looking at their team's success, because there are many other variables that come into play. Manning has shown more composure in the playoffs in his career, but that doesn't mean Romo will not break through one day and win some postseason games himself. I think Romo is the more skilled player and if I had to build a team around one of them, I'd definitely pick Romo. However, to play devil's advocate to those saying Manning only won because of the rest of his team, look at the offense Eli had to work with compared to Romo.
This is sort of like Brady vs. the 'other' Manning (The Younger one beat Brady in the super bowl thus giving Manning the edge in this debate). People used to say in like '04, '05, Manning has monster numbers but can't win the big one, especially against brady, who doesn't have great receivers or great stats but always manages to win a super bowl or three. God, how I HATE NFC East fans. Like SO MUCH. NO JOKE! Shelampbell McRomo = my least favorite person on earth.
first off the eagles didnt choke three nfcc games in a row. we were 15point underdogs against the rams. secondly if you looked deeper than the box score and watched those games you'd know the head coach deserved more credit for those loses than anyone else on the team. reid makes a habit of putting the eagles in a position to "lose". lastly - show me this list of many qb's that had alot less to work with than mcnabb and won something.
i know all about being put in a position to lose.....15 season under cowher gives you that experience. The recievers werent superstars but WERENT nearly as terrible as you make them sound or as terrible as they would be if they played today. Mcnabb was in his prime, good oline, good defense...brian freaking westbrook and LJ smith was the man on third down. Dont tell me he didnt have help, the recievers werent great but you dont need to be in a WCO and most QBs would kill to have westbrook in the backfield...they didnt even run much back then but westbrook has always been freaking awesome as dump off passes
wrong. westbrook wasn't drafted until '02 and wasn't even a focal point in tampa nfcc game and didn't even play in the 3rd. neither did lj smith - he wasnt drafted until '03 and didnt start until '04. gee, isnt that when we finally made it to the super bowl ? you know, when we finally had a real wideout ? look, if you are naive enough to think that the likes of pinkston and thrash are anything less than garbage you go right ahead. also - what wco offense doesn't have good wideouts or at least one that is near the top of the league ? the only point you brought up that was valid is that we didnt run the ball that much which made it all too easy for defenses to plan for us and it showed. P/S -where's that list of qb's that had less to work with ?
basketts gonna bookmark that so he can copy and paste it next time he cant come up with an argument for himself no you dont....having a superbowl trophy with no credibility due to poor officiating inst fun...defending it forver gets old
for the record - i still think the steelers would've beat the seahawks but it sucks that there's even a debate on that super bowl. btw - back to the topic. at this time i think it's a toss up between eli and romo.
