New Orleans Saints QB has had one busy off day. The signal-caller, who was at the Saints complex in Metairie this morning to unveil a collectors item collection of artwork that was created by fabled artist George Rodrigue, continued his good fortune when he was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.

Now in his second season with the Saints, Brees had a tremendous day in leading the Saints to their third straight victory when the Saints traveled to SF and defeated the 49ers on Sunday. Brees completed 31 of 39 passes for 336 yards and four touchdowns in the Saints' 31-10 win over the San Francisco 49ers.

The award is always nice to win, said Brees. The reason it is special is because while the award may recognize an individual, it is clearly an award, that in my mind, recognizes the entire team. The offensive line did a tremendous job throughout the day, our receivers made plays all over the field and the running backs were fantastic. And our defense kept giving the ball back to us and gave us chances to get things going offensively and the special teams units did their part all afternoon. It was a complete effort for us.

I bet every team wishes they could play the 49ers. Its always a morale booster to come in and clean house against the 49ers.
