Saints Wrap Up Training Camp, Waive 11 Players

    The New Orleans Saints effectively brought down the curtains on their 2014 training camp, which began just over a month ago in West Virginia and ended with a spirited practice back at the team’s facility in Metairie yesterday. The Saints finished their preparations for the fourth and final preseason tilt against the Baltimore Ravens, which will kick off Thursday night at 7 p.m. inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The team also made a spate of cuts, waiving 11 players in order to meet Tuesday afternoon’s 75-man roster limit.     sure would have liked to see Victor Butler play in this defense. heard he was a more overall better linebacker than Junior. just couldn't see it develop on the field. Andy Tanner gets 300 grand to be injured. Must be nice. while there were a couple of surprises this round of cuts, the big ones will come next round. some good backups will be let go then. looking forward to this next game actually to see who really wants to make this team.

    yeah, was hoping to see butler healthy and ready to go. could have made that front 7 even better. good thing is some of the young guys like edebali are standing out

    just wish we had that middle guy who could run sideline to sideline and thump you when he got there.
