Vick wasn't THAT bad as a passer, take a look at the games and not the final stats. Hell, the only year he had decent play out of his line and WRs was in 04, after that it just got terrible. Michael Jenkins is still dropping passes today, Finneran has finally got time again, and he is a clutch guy, but 3 out of Vick's last four years he was inactive. Dez White is gone, Useless Price is gone. His line was probably the worst in the league excluding the Texans. The guy was a playmaker, plain and simple, and when he had a balanced team around him (i.e. before Duckett busted out) we were successful.
