For applications that will only run in IE there's not a security risk because they are on a secure network. But people should be warned of it's vulnerability when doing general web browsing.
No one is talking about applications or local intranets .All people do at work on IE is web browse and that's what we are discussion here. And what warning... omg people still use IE? Fact is around 40% of people the world use it to this day and most of them will never have any real problems with it. This thread is way off topic now, I have no more to add. **********Automerged Doublepost********** lol @ voice of reason. He didn't actually say anything.
if people love IE fine, all I know is members that use IE here on GIF have more problems then members that use firefox, and that's a fact. Some people love IE, power to em. FYI, my voice of reason response was a joke that you didn't get SoDev but it was aimed at hh so it's all good.
If you stay on safe websites generally you'll be safe on IE, but I used to have all kinds of problems when I used it, haven't had those kind of problems using FF. If you like IE that's fine, it's a free country you can use whichever browser you want to use. IE still maintains a large portion of the market share, of course it doesn't hurt that it's included in all Windows computers.
