Hard to say but I doubt it. After a crap 2008 Jones didnt do much to make sure he didnt take any HC jobs. It almost seemed like he was hoping he took one. IIRC, he interviewed for the Jets job, Bronco's job and one more that year I think if we miss the PO's like in 2008 (which seems likely) the whole staff will be gone. IMO Garrett is a good coach, but he needs another gig and a few more years mastering the art of playcalling before he is ready to be a HC, and I think thats been obvious since he got figured out in 2008. His playcall can be good, but is way too erratic, and his situational playcall is freaking terrible. Right now we are #2 in yardage..........but 20 PPG! We we were #2, and less then 70 yards from #1...........22PPG. Thats crap poor situational playcalling
While I agree with you, head coaches who are soft can't switch to being hard asses. If they try to do that, players will never take them seriously.
Garrett offensive plays and calling is very predictable it's always the same set and formation.nevr see a wide receiver stack formation or something to confuse the defense.
