The Cleveland Browns do not expect to trade quarterback Colt McCoy despite drafting 28-year-old quarterback Brandon Weeden in the first round Thursday night, a team source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter on Sunday. The Green Bay Packers were rumored to be interested in the former third-round pick, but a Packers source told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen they will not pursue a McCoy deal. Browns general manager Tom Heckert had said Thursday that the team was considering moving McCoy after taking Weeden out of Oklahoma State with the 22nd pick. The selection of Weeden came after the Browns told McCoy on draft day that they wouldn't take a quarterback in the first round, a league source told Schefter. The Browns have denied telling McCoy that.
