  1. QB Colt McCoy got high marks for his command of the Browns' offense in the preseason opener vs. Green Bay and looks to be a solid fit in the West Coast scheme, two league sources who watched him closely told PFW. One evaluator said the Browns' offense did a good job of taking what the Packers' defense would allow. The evaluator said the Browns' offense could start to stretch the field more as time goes on, although as the other league source noted, the West Coast attack is not known for attacking vertically and the club lacks a go-to receiver. McCoy also excelled in the second preseason game, leading the Browns to 21 first-half points on three TD passes.
