Stanford QB Andrew Luck's Current Plan Is To Stay In School In 2011

  1. Pike is likely a long term project/backup.

Clausen hasn't shown anything worth building around....

If I was the Panthers GM It would be tough to decide what to do with the pick.

'commitment to academics' is a stupid reason to stay another year. there are MANY players who have gotten their degree(s) while playing in the NFL. in fact, some have gone to law school and medical school.

There are also those players who don't care about the NFL as much as some might think. As said, Luck doesn't need money and who knows if this is what he truly wants to do forever. On the flip side, he might also want a shot at the Heisman. As said, he's the odds on favorite right now to win it in 2011 so we'll see. I don't think Stanford is going to be a big power next year especially with Oregon still looking fairly strong.

I still respect the hell out of this kid for not running to the pro's and truth be told if he does decide, I'd be okay with that too. I just want Jimmy Harbaugh in Ann Arbor so I wish this kid would go pro!
