ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports that doctors are now estimating Steelers quarterback Dennis Dixon's recovery from knee surgery today at closer to six weeks. Dixon suffered a torn meniscus on Sunday against the Titans. The initial prognosis was three weeks. The six-week timetable probably isn't enough to send Dixon on Injured Reserve, but he's unlikely to play again this season. Charlie Batch will start under center week three against the Buccaneers. As soon as he's back in the lineup bye bye Batch (hopefully), although we don't need Dixon and Leftwich as backups.. seems unfair.
Batch will get it done this week but I pray we get leftwich ready for next week so we can take advantage of baltimores secondary with the deep ball glad we only have 2 weeks to go get better dennis!
