The season is over for the No. 1 pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. The Texans will place outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney on injured reserve because of a right knee ailment, coach Bill O’Brien said Thursday, according to the club’s official Twitter feed. Clowney is slated to undergo surgery on the injured knee, O’Brien said, with the head coach noting “it’s time to clean it up,” according to the club. Clowney had reportedly seen Dr. James Andrews for an evaluation of the knee. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/12/04/texans-placing-jadeveon-clowney-on-ir/?cid=yahoo
