The third Texans starter this season, QB T.J. Yates (North Carolina) could have ended up in a Panthers’ uniform. “We looked at him,â€￾ Rivera said. With 2 1/2 games of film to review, Rivera was reminded of what he initially liked during last offseason’s pre-draft scouting. “He’s very smart,â€￾ Rivera said.

Yates is a beast. He was great at UNC, and he's pretty damn good at Houston.

    I wouldn't call him a beast. He's had what? 1 or 2 games?

Yeah "beast" is a bit premature at this point. He was considered the sleeper of the draft on a lot of boards though.

Hopefully he continues having success and doesn't end up being a flash in the pan.

It's just hilarious that 'now' coaches are jumping on the Yates bandwagon, even sports commentators are saying things like "he'd be one of my first picks for a QB" of course all this AFTER the draft...
