Do you know off hand if CS4 is required for all of these tutorials? I'm using Fireworks 8. Just need to know if I should start downloading now.
I'd prefer to be looking at the same interface that I'm being taught. Thanks for the heads up, I will begin my search for CS4 now...
Once you have your signature done...create a new layer. Then you can do one of two things: You can just grab a soft brush...maybe size 100...and put a half circle on the layer - JUST ONE QUICK CLICK! Try to see where the light is coming from and then place the light source accordingly. You can fill that newly created layer with the black paint bucket. Then grab a soft brush...again, maybe size 100...and put a half circle on the layer - Again, JUST ONE QUICK CLICK! Then set it to Color Dodge and all the black will disappear and give you a real nice light source. That should work for you... Most importantly, try to figure out where the light souece is originally coming from...
