I love me some blu ray. It really is amazing for some movies.

Screw man. I still get chills every time at the end if RotK when Aragorn says "My friends, you bow to no one." One of my favorite scenes ever.

I definitely need to get the Blu-ray boxes set of that. Only ever seen it on the big screen and plain old DVD.

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World

Really enjoyed it. Always liked Steve Carell and there's just something about Kiera Knightley. She's so damn cute and British. This was one of those rare times in a movie I wish it went Hollywood and somehow something saved the day, but they stayed true to the story and the likely outcome. Last five minutes were excellent.

I got the Bourne Legacy on blu ray for Christmas. Overall it's a good movie but the ending was terrible. I prefer Damon's Bourne to Renner's Cross. If the two of them fought hand to hand I think Bourne would destroy the new guy.

Still don't get the end where he left the Shire and got on the boat with the Elves...never to return.

127 he leaves for a couple reasons. His shoulder was hurt during the trip to Mordor, and even after 4 years it never healed. So he went with the elves for their medicine. The main reason was that after his trip The Shire wasn't the same for him because he basically lost his "innocent" Hobbit self. So he wasn't really cut out for the carefree lifestyle of the Shire anymore.

I only know this because I googled it last night. It always confused me too.

    Sovled. Thanks Steve12.

Had no idea about reason #1 and had considered #2 but living the rest of his life in a world without his own kind just seemed odd. The story behind his shoulder must have been in the book (which I've never read) because I've seen the movie more times than I need to admit.

He says something about his shoulder in the movie. Its the scene right at the end where he's at home and Sam walks up just as Frodo finishes the book Bilbo gave him. I'm pretty sure its the scene directly before they leave on the boat.

Lincoln was a pretty awesome movie, but not everybody will give it credit because of the lack of action in it,but in my view, best movie spielberg ever directed except maybe jaws.

I want to see Les Miz. The local PBS TV station shows from time to time the 25th anniversary of Les Miz from the O2 Arena in London. It's great!
