agreed. loved that they got rid of that stupid narration at the very beginning that practically explains the entire movie. i really wished i had seen the director's cut first.

and it looks bad butt on Blu Ray :icon_cool:

defintiely mike, it makes me wonder what could have been if this movie had the budget of the matrix. I definitely recommend this movie to any sci-fi fans.

I just started Quantum of Solace, but the MU game is too close, and had to put it on pause.

The first 15 minutes are freaking awesome.

I hear this often & want to check it out, but is it really gory or anything?

watching the first "Godfather," and holy FREAK does it look amazing! :icon_eek: and i thought the last set that came out a few years ago was great looking. expensive, but already i can see it was worth it--though wished they'd compensate me for the fact that they're forcing me to take "Godfather Part 3."

always reminds me of when dumb Eastside Dave was trying to defend the third movie on Ron & Fez:

Dave: "'Godfather 3' is at least a 'C.'"

    Ron: "Yes, it's a 'c**t.' It's a 'c**t' next to two beauty queens..."

I saw Four Christmases on Friday Night, I was surprised at how funny that was. Vince Vaughn was freaking hilarious.

Can't think of a better way to use my 1,000th post than talking about Buster Keaton, so hooray!

I just watched One Week (1920!), which was one of his earlier solo efforts. Ridiculous slapstick & pretty awesome set design (the house had me constantly giggling) & effects.

If anyone else is at all into silent comedies, here it is. [ame="http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3147358394537366471"]Buster Keaton - One Week[/ame]

Twenty minutes of pure, unadulterated awesome. :icon_cheesygrin:

I tried watching that a couple of times PM, but could never get into it, even though it's got some really good actors in it.

Watching The Great Dictator right now...forgot how damn good this movie was. Satire in a completely truthful fashion. Sad that nobody really paid the right kind of attention back in '40.

If you hate it, don't blame me. :icon_cheesygrin:

The beginning is...slow would be a good word. But being a Chaplin fan makes up for pretty much everything that might be wrong with this movie.
