The OFFICIAL Atlanta Braves 2011 Thread (Taking Back The East)

It is a long season. Just early season struggles after the excitement of waiting..sucks. But, I think we're going to be fine, too. Uggla is settling in, they already showed he starts out slow, offensively. Chipper and McCann are showing life, Prado is coming around, we just have to put it all together. McClouth producing in the second slot will be huge, because having Heyward where he is would be nice to keep, so we have the big bats throughout the lineup, rather than just the top and middle. Freeman will come around, he's still young. Alex is the biggest concern I have.

The thing is we actually have other people on our roster that are good, unlike the marlins who had to rely on Uggla

 

Uggla's defense has been terrific. And yeah, we do have other guys that could fill in for some reason, if need be. It's good to see the sweep of the defending World Champs, on the road. Maybe this will ignite that spark we need in the offense. Gotta take care of the Padres :]

 

What's that we stuff? You on the roster? As for Uggla, he is more streaky than Oprah's underwear after eating Taco Bell. And the Marlins have Hanley who took all the pressure off of Uggla and he still couldn't produce regularly. Most of his HRs were solo. But hey, Mike Dunn is working out so far and Infante's defense is already worth the trade.

 

That "we" stuff is a fanbase..saying we stand behind our team, and that makes us part of the team in a non-playing way. Without fans, there'd be no sports. Just saying.

 

I know dude, but it wouldn't be condescending to a division rival if I didn't point that out.

Hey Braves can have the division and Marlins can have the WC. What happened the last two times the Marlins were the WC team? Oh yeah, they took out the Braves on the way to a WS title.

Either way, glad to see Braves starting to play better. 4 wins in the last 5 games, including a sweep of the defending champs on the road? A win today gives them the series against the Padres on the road. If these bats get and stay hot, the pitching has been there most days than not. Turn up the heat, and beat the Cardinals down in Atlanta.

Yeah. Minus a major melt down..we will be 12-12.
