I'm glad you guys beat us in Philly with your 3 starters against 2 rookies and a second year guy, you haven't won the division yet and even if you do we will still get to play you in the playoffs

 

The Braves and the Phillies both have to make the playoffs and then win the first round...a lot of games and time left for that to happen.

Cox had every opportunity to adjust his pitching staff so that the Braves starters could throw against the Phils. Manuel did it on purpose...it's not a coincidence that it worked out that way...

 

Braves losing to the Nats has them currently on the outside looking in.

 

you know you really don't want that and the phils will make sure it doesn't happen during bobby's retirement party series in a couple days. :icon_cool:

the phillies are bringing bobby cox retirement gift that both symbolizes what's going to happen in his final series and allows him to rest in peace with is favorite rock group.

Padres or Giants one of the two need to sweep each other, and ATL needs a win against phillies to pick up the wild card, such a scary friggin' weekend. :(

Congrats Braves. Padres lose 1-0, ouch for them . You need 1 win and 1 loss from SD to clinch the wildcard. Looks like it will be Philly vs Cincy and Giants vs Braves in the first round.

Padres had a HUGE lead in the west and choked hard. REAL HARD.

Yeah, but the Padres had a huge lead and it wasn't like the Giants had the best record in the league over the last 3 months, or led the league in complete games/shutouts, had the best record in 1 run games, 29-15 or had the fewest walks for a pitching staff. That was the Phillies.

 

Im just saying if the Braves played like they were supposed to then this final series should have decided the division
