probably played longer by people than any other sport with the exception of wrestling. did'nt the aztecs play soccer with a human head?
I had no freakin' idea. I know in the States it's gaining momentum. One of my nieces just got a full ride to college on an athletic scholarship....soccer. Who would've thought!
France is reminding me of the Eagles in the Super Bowl. Somebody tell them they're losing and running out of time!!
There's an old saying I hear a lot during world cups: "Football is a sport in which every team has 11 players, there's a ball, and Germany always wins" Congrats, Olly.
Thanks buddies! Yes TJ, there is some truth in this saying. Hope we can add another star on our jersey next week. Well, before this, we had to beat either Brasil or Columbia. If I remember correct, no European team, has ever won a WC in America. Maybe we can change this...
That's true, Olly. That's because games this side of the world are played at noon, with high temperatures and humidity that the Europeans can't handle. This way, games can be shown on prime time in Europe. It shouldn't matter. Back in 2002, when the World Cup was in Korea and Japan, I was getting up (or staying late) to watch the games at 3 and 5 in the morning. Why shouldn't you guys do the same?
Holy balls that Brazil Columbia match was so frustrating to watch. Soooo many penalties and sooooo much flopping.
This is the worst Brazil I have ever seen. If they weren't at home, they wouldn't have made it to the quarter finals. A disgrace of a team. Germany should handle them easily. The game will be at night @ollysj
