I heard last night and this morning that the chances that USA will advance out of their group has gone up from 33% to 67% because of Pepe of Portugal getting a red card yesterday and injuries to two of Portugal's players.
Yeah, you got lucky. Playing like that, no way you beat Portugal, let alone Germany... Still, good win. Glad to see our CONCACAF guys doing great (Honduras doesn't count. They're not even a real country).
On a side note. With Jermaine Jones, Fabian Johnson, Timothy Chandler and Prince Boateng (Ghana) , there has been 4 players on te field, who already played for the German national youth teams
Time to face Brazil and the refs. Should be a good one. If you don't hear from me after the game, chances are I died of alcohol overdose, or a heart attack. Thank you.
So what needs to happen now for the US to get in? At least a draw with Portugal? No way they beas Germany right? They really didn't look that good against Ghana. Even I could tell and I haven't watched soccer since the last world cup.
I think they stand a good chance of advancing with ties against Portugal and Germany or wins against either team.
First of all, don't lose to Portugal. Then Germany will probably beat you, but as long as you lose by less than 3 goals, you should be fine. Now, if Portugal destroys Ghana, all bets are off. Unlikely, but stranger things have happened.
