The team is in total disarray. I'm totally bummed because this team should be much better than it is. The #1 reason is Andy Reid. He gave us some good years, time to move on though.

 

He has no confidence in his receivers and won't let them make plays for the ball, which they don't have the athleticism to do.

 

I think kevin curtis has the athleticism to compete for the ball but everytime donovan mcnabb goes deep with the ball he overthrows the reciever that wont allow him to compete for the deep ball. mcnabb needs to take some power off the ball and throw with precision and some touch.

 

Hey fellow eaglesfans do any of you think we have a shot against the redskins.I think if the redskins play the same way they did versus the jets we have a good shot at winning this game.But for us to win this game i think we have to score more than a field goal on each drive and we need to force more turnovers than the opposing team does.I think those are our keys to winning this game what do you think.

 

We most certainly have a shot at winning this game. This is a gut check game. After Sunday's embarrassment, I would hope they show some pride and determination. If the Eagles lose it will truly show that Reid has lost this team.

 

Sounds good to me but you forgot to say if we lose this game the Philadelphia eagles organization will get a new head coach next year.

 

I would say that if I was sure of it. Reid's a Lurie guy. We could lose our next 5 games but then win the last 3, Lurie would probably keep with him.

 

I see were your coming from but if we have andy reid next year I really dont like our chances of doing well.The team we have is a playoff caliber team and andy reid doesnt call right plays at the right time.Personally i thought andy reid was the dumbest coach ever in this last game. Why do you give buckhalter the ball on 3 and 2 which he did'nt get in that kind of situation if you hand it off you have to give it to a playmaker like westbrook its just little things like things that mess this team.

 

As I've stated before and most others feel as well, Andy's never been a good in-game coach. He and JJ had set-up a nice system, but the rest of the league has caught up. Plus we haven't drafted very well and made some bad moves in free agency. Andy never should have gotten a position above head coach. Not many want him to stay. When I hear Lurie say something negative about Reid, then I'll start to believe that he won't be back next year.

 

That makes sense I think the eagles need a good in-game coach like bill belichiek he is the best coach in the business or maybe tony dungy its a hard one to answer.But we have had some good draft picks I mean who uses the late draft picks better than the eagles we got omar gaithers late in the draft we've also gotten trent cole in the 5th round of the draft.We got some good draft picks but we need alot more i think our drafting been alright but your definetly one the money about andy not being a good in-game coach that was perfect.

I hadn't known that the 2002 draft was Ross' last. No wonder this team can't draft for crap.

After looking at the Giants' Depth Chart and their drafts from 2003-2007, here are their draft picks who are starters as of right now:

Jacobs
Manning (1st round)
Umenyora
Chris Snee
Gibril Wilson
Kiwanuka
Aaron Ross (1st round)

There are a bunch of other guys who are backups

At the top of my head for the Eagles who are starting right now:

Patterson (1st round)
Bunkley (1st round)
R. Brown
McCoy (He DID start anyways)
Gocong
Gaither
Considine
Herremens
Andrews (1st round)
L.J. Smith


Obviously the Giants are winning in the "impact" players category.

But it's hard to argue that the Eagles don't draft well in the first round. But when you draft linemen all the time, you can't really see the outcome that well on the field.

I am expecting the Eagles to go out and draft another offensive lineman this year with both Thomas and Runyan close to done.

 

it will be a top ten pick and reid will heck it up. we need a gm to make better decisions on the players we draft and sign through free agency.

as coach of the eagles i would make the following player moves to try and spark something.

1- demote both kearse and howard.
2- see if mikel could play in place of considine
3- update my resume

 

i would be surprised if they didn't cut both kearse and howard outright.

I still don't see us doing so bad that we have a top 10 pick. I am predicting a pick in the 15-20 range.

 

If theres any good college players in the draft like safeties or widerecievers that are sopposed to be like a top 10 pick in the draft i dont see why not tradeing jevon kearse and our first round draft pick for a higher draft pick.
