we'll see dawk. buck is one of my favorites but while the rest of his body hadn't taken much punishment his knees have.
He's lasted through the past two seasons and played well. He's only 29. Same age as Jordan. Rhodes is 28. I definitely would take Buckhalter over the two of them.
well i guess you're right especially when you consider that buck doesn't get many chances. i just have a bad feeling about him getting hurt again this year. hope i'm wrong.
I wouldn't do that trade for Fitz. Brown is the only consistent corner right now after Shepherd was woeful last season. The only way I see them doing it is if they go all out and nab Samuel as well. Damn what a dream offseason. Trade for Fitz, sign Samuel, sign Andre Davis as the returner and go out and try to get a competent defensive end. As for the running backs, I don't mind having Buckhalter behind Westy. I would rather keep him and use that extra money on defense. they are going to have a roundtable discussion on 610WIP February 23rd at noon. They are going to talk about what the Eagles should do this offseason. www.610wip.com I listen to them all day. they talk about all the major philly sports, but it's better than listening to ESPN's daily garbage. i'll shoot a reminder next friday for you guys.
i should switch over instead of listening to Eskin. God I hate him. He is such a Banner parrot. He's pretty much the only guy on the station who thinks the receivers are fine because the FO thinks the same thing.
Rhodes returns kicks, but he wouldn't be much better than what we have now. I'd like this signing, but it definitely shouldn't be a priority. I'd rather see us bring in a WR, S, and DE first. I might cry out of joy if our offseason went like that. Doesn't hurt to dream, I guess... What do you guys think of the LJ move now that Crumpler hit the market?
i called eskin on the carpet for that among other things down at the wach center. i see that midget a few times a year when i go to the flyers or sixers in my company's luxury box. can they withdraw the offer ?
yes they can, but i doubt they will. i would actually love if they kept smith for this year and signed Crumpler if he came cheap. Let Smith play out the year and then push Crumpler into the starting role and have him help Celek. Get rid of Schobel. What a waste.
smith and crumpler would be issues i think. neither would be satified being the back-up and you'd tie way too much money in the te position. dump smith, sign crumpler. lj is NOT a top 5 te as he will be paid this year, crumpler is.
i hope the eagles do withdraw the offer to lj smith because alge crumpler is so much better but what about rod coleman he just got released by the falcons also hes a defensive tackle and use to be a really good one i think it would be a good move just so mike patterson and broderick bunkley get pushed beyond belief just so they play harder just to keep there starting position which i think they could hold onto.
Don't dump LJ until Crumpler is signed. I'm not sure what the rules are in withdrawing a franchise tag. I'd hate for us to get rid of LJ, and then Crumpler sign elsewhere.
No doubt. I don't think the front office is that stupid, though. I'm pretty sure we can withdraw the franchise tag anytime before July, so that would leave us with the possibility to sign Crumpler. However, it's a lot to hope that Reidwith his stubbornesswill make a move, let alone change one he's already made.
I think the Eagles can just pull it off the table if it is not signed. They did with Corey Simon... If they can sign Crumpler, then yank it off the table, LJ is screwed... Right? I don't remember the Corey Simon deal...I think they pulled it off the table on someone else too...Trotter maybe...the first time?!?
Yeah, but I was questioning when does the tag end if not signed. I think it ends when LJ's original contract expires, but I'm not sure what date that is.
