once again reid is passing the freaking ball when we should be running. we gave the bears an extra 1:20 ... another fine job at clock management andy. we should have two more wins, maybe even three more than we have right now and the head coach is the reason why we don't. if we had a better gm we would've beat the redskins as well but our redzone offense blows because of the below average personel.
Agreed. I hated JJ's decision to go into that soft prevent zone on the Bears last drive. He should have stuck to what they were doing all game. Considine being stuck alone with a WR is horrible.
yeah i can not stand the "prevent" defense. we should've blitzed on two of the downs during that last drive. it was there for the taking. dawk, i was drinking "absent" during the tailgate yesterday, needless to say i passed out for two hours during the pre-game festivities but i was in rare form during the game. i don't think there is anyone within two sections of me that doesn't know my opinion on how much i think cosucdine stinks.
I was just as shocked that the Eagles were passing when they clearly should have been running it. It worked in the Bears favor though.:icon_cheesygrin: Prevent defense is the worst. The best way to give any QB all day to look for an open target.
The beauty of a couple of those plays was that they went into a shotgun with no back to even have the draw option or at least fake it. Nice job, Andy. :icon_evil:
I Just wish LJ smith wouldve been more healthy this season. Had him in fantasy, And had to drop him completely off my roster, for Matt Spaeth. :( Other then that, I didn't get to see the Game, so I have no comment on anything that happend. Just wanted to say GL In two weeks vs dallas. [being honest, no sincerity]. Cuz I know right now the Eagles are like a light switch, one minute theyre on, the next few minutes theyre off... They could easily be on for the dallas game, And that scares me.
actually i wouldn't see reid going after him even if he was a model player. he wants to take no names and make them stars.
Very cool. Troy is a model citizen that truley gives back to the community. Works with inner city kids and centers in Trenron and down in Miami. Class act all the way.
i would love to have chad johnson next year i think if andy wants to stop being critized about passing he should get a receiver so he could actually pbutt. But if we could get our hands on chad johnson i think we would be almost exactly like the patriots 3 talented recievers a good te a great quarterback but we would have one difference maker we would have westbrook and he is like a great running back and a great reciever which gives us mismatch problems like it did when we had t.o i hope we get chad he is simply awesome
just looking at the idea of having chad johnson just on a talent level make all the sense in the world. think about this w/r corp. #1 - johnson #2 - brown #3 - curtis that would be one nasty group to go along with westbrook.
smeagle & eaglesrule: You are forgetting one very important thing. McNabb is no Brady. If he were, it wouldn't matter what we had as a recieveing corp. Also, another point to be made... Brady isn't sacked... like ever. McNabb is sacked like 5 times a game. Or he's hurried or scrambled out of the pocket. It's nice to think that we are just one reciever short of a Patriots-like team. But that just aint true.
well i will say mcnabb isnt as accurate as brady but has a more powerful arm than brady may not be as smart with the football but he is still very good. Then there is another thing next year donovan will be back to 100 percent that injury he suffered last year takes about 18 to 24 months to fully recover so then he will be able to scramble like he use 2. so i say he wont get sacked as much with his mobility back.every week our younger lineman in todd heremans and jamall jackson are improving every weekend. If we get chad johnson i say we would be a top 3 team in the nfl and the best in the NFC. And plus FISH you have to be optimistic about every season even if we are the worst team in the nfl there is still a hope for all teams that they could be successful.O yea i will be the first one to say it the eagles make the playoffs this year.Well i say that becase its the NFC hahaha
Dude- I'm a Eagles fan- thru and thru. I live with 'em and die with 'em. I'm a fan when they win. I'm a fan when they lose. And I'm not one of those jack-ass suits who sit at the game talking about work the whole 60 minutes. That being said, I am also a realist. The truth is McNabb isn't very accurate. I'm sure you've seen him throw behind players, throw into the ground or overthrow players. And being at a few games, I can also tell you I have also seen him NOT throw to open players. The whole stadium is like, "Donovon, where the hell are you looking?" And I don't think his arm is that strong either. When's the last time you saw him throw deep? I can't remember. Sure- he has no-one to throw deep to. But even if he did- it would never- ever- be a completion. Oh, and one more thing. When's the last time #5 played a full 16 game regular season? I think it was like 4-5 years ago. So your idea of "waiting" until he's 100% will NEVER happen. DUMP HIM!
