Phils scouted Ben Sheets last night. Rumors are that the name Brett Myers has been tossed around within the organization.

i'd go for sheets, seems he is beyond his injuries. averaging a 3.62 era and 182 strikeouts. think he'd really the team and the a's would be a team to take lower level prospects.

    absoluttely not on meyers.

Oswalt would be a nice pick up...just can't see them doing it though...

well report are that the oswalt deal was all but done but roy decided that he wouldnt waive his no trade clause unless the phils picked up his 2012 option year which i doubt will happen.

phils scouts were also watching haren pitch against the mets.

also werth is being offered for bj upton or wade davis.

I heard that too smeagle. The Phillies wouldn't guarantee the last year so Oswalt wouldn't waive the no-trade clause. I think the last year of Oswalt's deal is for $16M...

Bad news for Moyer...Amaro says that he could be done for his career...

werth needs to be traded for a great reliever and a bench stud, then we can call up Brown. Screw Oswalt, I would much rather have Haren.

Hitting problems soon to be solved: Milt Thompson fire as batting coach. Greg Gross replaces him.

actually the next two years of his deal are $16mil each. i don't blame them for not wanting to guarantee oswalt $32mil for a guy that has had back issues this long and had four cortizne shots this season already. all while having to leave the no trade clause in the contract.

plus there are people saying, rany miller, jason stark and others that roy doesn't want to come because of how the media is and doesn't want to deal with the pressure.

milt thompson releived of his hitting coach duties and replaced by greg gross who was fired when cholly came to town. little info randy miller put out there is that the phillies got rid of the guy greg gross replaced last time just to satify a whining snitch rolen who complained he wanted gross.

looks like oswalt will fail in LA if LA will give up kemp or loney. Dan Haren to the Angels, damn

I keep reading that the Dodgers want no parts of giving up Loney or Kemp.

yeah it seems like its oswalt or nothing as far as top flight starters go. not a particually big fan of his but even halladay gets shelled here and there and having oswalt along hamels and doc would be pretty damn sweet for the playoff run this year and maybe next two couple of years.

    halladay
    hamels
    oswalt
    happ
    blanton

that's a nice rotation right there.
