Phils wind up winning 9-1. Braves hold on to beat the Mets 6-4.

 

10-0 for H2O in September.

 

Magic Number is at 12...Phils could conceivably lock up the division with two weeks remaining...

 

Even though Smeagle and a few others might think that this division title will be decided in the last weekend, I don't see it. The club is banging on all cylinders. The Phils are a buzzsaw.

Phils win again. 6 in a row. Winning on a KK start is nice no matter the opponent.

 

yeah, would be nice to see the braves tank tomorrow. Magic Number is 11. I think it's 9 for the playoffs period.

 

As bad as Fat Joe was in the first half of the season, he's been 4-1 with a respectable 3.50 ERA since the All-Star break. Hopefully he helps sweep the fish this afternoon.

Phillies win their 7th straight with a great 9th inning comeback ended by a Werth walk off 2 run shot. Up by 3, the Nats didn't record a single out against the Phillies.

Braves pitcher Jair Jurrjens scratched from tonight's start. Rookie Brandon Beachy will start for Atlanta.

I'd rather them go against Jurrjens than someone they've never seen before.

That's just ridiculous...it really is.

 

me too, it seems like we always struggle against young guys who have not at all or barely pitched in the majors. Great win tonight. Cole is now under 3 in the era and we are just playing lights out right now.


Hamels has an 0.49 ERA in his last five starts all wins a career best streak, and a career-low 2.93 ERA this season. He allowed two earned runs or less in five of his losses.
