I saw one in PSD saying that the signing of Lee may actually be a blessing in disguise.

There a lot of whining on both sides about how Lee played both the Rangers and NY just to drive up the price. No, he didn't. He just signed where he would be happiest. I can't fault him for that.

Neither the Rangers or NY are virgins in the free agency market. They both know how things work. They both knew there was a chance that Lee would go someplace else.

Well, maybe NY didn't. They think it's their God-given right to have the most expensive players on their roster.

Keep your eyes peeled on what the Rangers do, mush. Since Lee is out of the equation, they may go after Greinke, If they don't get him, they might set their sights on Garza.

If Lee hits 200 innings in 2015 or 400 combined in 2014-2015 then he gets 27.5 million in the 6th year putting the deal around 147.5 million, not that much less than the yankees, Phillies have a 12.5 million buyout option if he doesn't reach the vested stipulation.
